Moisturizing Cranberry Antioxidant Mask
Although cranberries tend to be a great holiday dinner ingredient, they are also great for your skin. Cranberries are a wonderful source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, flavonoids, and phytonutrients. Cranberries have a great amount of Vitamin C, B6, E, K, Niacin, Riboflavin, and minerals like Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron, Sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, and Zinc. These antioxidants assist with reducing the free radicals and lessening the oxidation process while the Flavonoids and phytonutrients help heal damaged cells and the cellular turnover process.
- 2 tbsp of plain sugar free organic yogurt
- 2 tbsp of organic honey
- 1/4 cup of organic cranberries
- 1 tbsp glycerin
Blend and mash the cranberries into a thick pulp and then mix in the honey, yogurt and glycerin. Mix until the mask becomes a thick paste. Before you apply the mask, ensure the face and neck has been cleanse properly. Apply the mask with clean fingertips but avoid the eye area. Allow the mask to dry for at least 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat the skin gently to dry and proceed with the moisturizer routine.
